Vesica Cire

Showcase film that paints the genesis of an sculptural jewelry piece, exploring the intense beauty of creation, birth and transformation.

The inspo for this work lies in the exploration of bio-structural aesthetics, finding patterns between elements of micro and macro worlds, between organic structures and cosmic events - bursts of branching growth-like expansion intertwines with forms, reminiscent of both neural pathways and the intricate designs of abiogenesis, highlighting the beauty of unexpected intersections and pushing the boundaries of contemporary jewelry design.

STILL FRAMES, R&D

Vesica (Latin) originates from vesica piscis - the almond lens formed by the overlap of two equal circles. It reads as a portal and a sign of emergence.

Cire (French; cera from Latin) means wax, pointing to cire perdue - lost-wax casting, a high-jewelry canon of sacrifice and transformation.

Vesica Cire is a wax-born portal cast from what must be given up.
The egg shape plays a symbolic role as it appears to be the most advanced invention of the evolution process. A perfect vessel for (re)creation.
